• The transaction information is then passed on to the merchants acquiring bank by the Payment Gateway.
• Merchants acquiring bank then forwards the transaction information to the issuing bank (one that issued the credit card to the customer).
• Then the card issuing bank sends a response back to the Payment Gateway. The response includes information that whether the payment has been approved or declined. In case of declination the reason is also send in the response.
• The response is then forwarded by the Payment Gateway to the merchants server.
• At merchants server the response is encrypted again and is relayed back to the customer. This allows the customer to know that whether the order has been placed successfully or not.

PPC Campaigns
PPC or Pay per click program by search engines is a method to target niche visibility on the search engines for user oriented queries. Pay per click is basically paid marketing or a sponsored program of search engines wherein one has to pay the search engines per click by a user. Various search engines have different sponsored programs of which most popular is the Google-Adwords.
PPC Processes:
Keyword Selection
Keyword section is the most important part of the entire process since these keywords decide the kind of visibility a website will receive from the paid marketing. Various search engines provide this facility to find & select the best possible keywords for the campaign.
Bidding Process
Once the keywords have been selected, the next stage is to bid for the keywords. These are bids per click by the users and the process allows users to determine their budgets for the campaign. Also, one can always choose the highest per click cost to ensure a first position visibility of the website on SERPs.
Campaign Management
Once the ads are live, it is indispensable to track the user movement for the campaign. Knowing the precise user activity, the advertiser may require adding more keywords, deleting non-performing keywords, introducing negative keywords if the campaign is run on a broad search, target country-wise visibility and a lot more. All these activities of campaign management ensure the effectiveness of it.

Optimizing Your Website
Here is an overview of how to optimize your website. It shows you most of the key terms we’ll be looking at in the paragraphs ahead.
A visitor arrives at your website, possibly after following a link that referred her. She will land on a web page, and either bounce ((leave immediately) or request additional pages.
In time, she may complete a transaction that’s good for your business, thereby converting from mere visitor into something more – a customer, a user, a member, or a contributor, depending on the kind of sites you are running. On the other hand, she may abandon that transaction and ultimately exit the website.
Visitors have many external attributes (the browsers they are using, the locations they are surfing from) that let you group them into segments. They may also see different offers or pages during their visits, which are the basis for further segmentation.
The goal of analytics then is to maximize conversions by optimizing your website, often by experimenting with different content, layout, and campaigns, and analyzing the results of those experiments on various internal and external segments.
While early web analytics reports simply counted HTTP requests, or hits, marketers quickly learned that hits were misleading for several important reasons:
The number of hits varies by page. Some pages have dozens of objects, while others have only one object.
The number of hits varies by visitor. First-time visitors to a site won’t have any of the graphical content cached on their browsers, so they may generate more hits.
It’s hard to translate hits to pages. Pages may have JavaScript activity that triggers additional requests. A Google Maps visit, for example, triggers hundreds of hits on a single page as a user drags the map around.
Any server request is consider a hit. For example, when a visitor calls up a web page containing six images, the browser generates seven hits – one for the page and six for the images.
Prior to sophisticated web analytics, this legacy term was used to measure interaction of the websites. Today, hits might be a useful indicator of server load, but are not considered useful understanding visitor behavior.
The first useful web analytic metric is the page view, which is a measure of how many pages visitors viewed. A page view report shows you how many times a visitor saw a page of your site.
Page views are still misleading. If your site serves 100 pages, you don’t know whether the traffic resulted from a single visitor reading a lot of content or a hundred visitors reading one page each. To deal with this, web analytics started to look at user visits with metrics look unique page views, which ignored repeated page views by the same visitor.
One of the main ways in which websites distinguish individual visitors from one another is through the use of cookies – small strings of text that are stored on the browser between visits. Cookies are also a major source of privacy concern because they can be used to identify a visitor across visits, and sometimes across websites, without the visitor’s explicit approval.
Time, money and freedom are much chased after by many of us. I have enjoyed time, money and freedom for a few years now. It has given me the greatest feeling that anyone can have. Having a vehicle that can help anyone to achieve it is the answer to time, money and freedom.

What is a Bounce Rate? An Introduction to Website Analytics and Statistics
The bounce rate (BR) statistic has given webmasters unparalleled insight into the behavior of visitors to their website. It adds depth and intelligence to website analytics and offers the ability for webmasters to analytically measure the success of their landing pages and site content. But the term Bounce Rate is often misunderstood, even by the veteran webmasters and metrics analysts. What is a bounce rate? And how exactly can it be used to gather meaningful intelligence from web analytics? This article will attempt to shed some light on this very valuable statistic.
Statistical data and analytics are just figures and numbers that webmasters collect to gather information about the performance of their websites. Here we’ll precisely define BR and learn a little about the information it conveys:
Definition of Bounce Rate
Bounce Rate essentially gauges how interested a visitor to your site is in your content.
When your sight catches a reader’s interest, they are more likely to explore your content and browse throughout the pages on your site, decreasing your BR.
When your site does not interest a reader, they leave without browsing through many pages of content, increasing your bounce rate.
The BR statistic doesn’t necessarily capture the success or conversion rate of your website: it is simply a measurement of a user’s interest in reading the various pages of content on your site. Some sites are set up so as to convert without requiring the user to browse around; at the same time, some users don’t need to browse through a site’s content before converting. Different webmaster strategies and browsing behaviors can produce the same conversion statistics.
Using the BR to increase the success of your site will require some important decisions about how you arrange content on your website. These decisions could be superficial, but they could also necessitate fundamental changes in your site’s design, layout, and page hierarchy.
The most basic information that Bounce Rate conveys is the percentage of users who didn’t surf past their initial landing page on your website. Put another way, BR captures the percentage of users who simply “bounced” off of your website before discovering anything other than the page that they landed on. A user might leave your site for any number of reasons, and every web user has a different approach to surfing the web. To truly use your BR statistic to your advantage, you’ll have to try to put yourself in the shoes of a visitor to your website.
The first question that most webmasters ask is, “What is a good bounce rate?”
This is often a difficult question to answer because each website serves a specific purpose. There’s no specific percentage – 10%, 80%, 78.5% — that can be considered universally “good” for a BR. The first step to understanding this statistic is understanding how the statistic is derived.
Web users don’t punish webmasters by leaving their websites – they leave when they were unable to find the information or features that they were looking for. It’s as simple as that; if a user isn’t satisfied with what he or she saw when they landed at your site, then they’ll leave. The Bounce Rate basically answers the question: “How many visitors to my website were inclined to stick around?” which is a very difficult question to interpret and is what makes it such a complicated statistic.

How To Improve The Traffic For Your Website
A website manager would know the significance of web analytics. You have to keep a track of number of people viewing your webblog, to do well with your website. To be able to do it, you would need an internet analytics tool. One option is always to read through the log file. It is however a huge hard work to review the log book by hand, for there may be numerous records inside. Because of this, an internet analytics tool is the right choice for you. With this tool, you have access to clear and simple reports about your webblog targeted traffic flow. You have to know how to proceed with your web analytics and below is the guide to accomplish exactly the same.
To start with, you need to collect the data. When you have an internet analytics tool, it may well be collecting all of the logs for you. You must remember to include all of the areas of your blog that may be collecting the data. Such parts may include CGI logs, Web logs, forms (e mail requests), and any other info that your website may be generating.
The next phase is always to transform the collected information in to an understandable format that can be manipulated further. Reviewing the log file by hand should be a hectic task. A web site analytics tool would serve well here, making it easy to convert the collected information into understandable information. However, if several of your data is in the non-web log format like CGI, you will need to covert it yourself.
With all the gathered and changed information, you can easily proceed using your analysis now. This can be arguably one of the most interesting part of your net analysis strategy. You need to recognize a trend in the targeted traffic flow. Following factors would assist you to do just the same.
Can your traffic flow increase at a specific time? Which pages get visited the most? The number of internet pages does a typical visitor visit? The length of time does your visitor stay at the site? Simply how much traffic is it possible to draw from search engines. Which internet pages act as exit points for your website visitors? What are your incoming links?
You should now be setting bench marks on your own. With all the analysis done, you know the strong and weak points of your website. You can now plan your actions and execute them to reach newer standards. For instance, you can add more business links on the pages that are frequently visited by the people, and optimize the lesser visited ones for much more traffic flow. In short, you need to work in a direction to capitalize on the strong facets of your webblog and improve on the weaker factors.
You need to attract your visitors. When you know that you need to make modifications to your website, depending on your web analytics, you will need to make the changes in a way that visitors notice them. Unless people find out about the updates, there is not much use. For this, you would need to promote yuor web blog tactfully, highlighting the updated parts of your webblog.
The above procedure isn’t a one time task, but you have to perform it constantly. The task is consequently a constant process, and needs you to spend time on it regularly.

Website Analtics 101
Just the other night, my wife wanted to buy a purse on an eCommerce site that I have done extensive work for. Just out of
curiosity, I decided to stand behind her and watch her interact with the
website. As I jotted down notes as she went about shopping, I began to notice
things I had never considered before. She tried clicking on things that weren’t
intended to be clicked on. Certain areas of the pages caught her attention that
I didn’t consider noteworthy. I was surprised by how much I learned from this
simple situation. As I thought about it, I realized that my Google Analytics are
not telling me the whole story. In my opinion, traditional web analytics fail
in the following areas:
Failure to Record Micro-Actions: Regular analytic software does not show
your the actions that occur in between page views such as the movement of the
mouse or interactions with web forms.
Failure to Track Eye Movement:
Obviously, web analytics does not have the ability to show us where web users
are actually looking. Eye tracking studies tell us that people typically read in
an “F” pattern, reading from left to right and scanning down.
Clicks on non-linked elements: Most analytics software does not show
you when users click on elements that are not hyperlinks. For example, you may
notice that user click on all underlined text or small images because they
expect them to be links.
Failure to Show Intent: Web analytics only show us where the user has gone, not where they intended to go.
Just because the user clicked on the Help page, doesn’t mean they necessarily
found the information there relevant to what they need.
When you begin to watch a user actually engage a website, you pick up on clues that you would never have learned from your analytics. You notice when they are lost. You notice when they are frustrated. You notice when they want to click on something that wasn’t
intended to be clicked on. Hopefully, future web analytics software will address
these problems.

Improve Your Website to Get More Visitors
Everyone will be aware that the web-traffic analytic softwares are invaluable to find out the effective and in-effective areas of your website. Conversion stats, AWStats and Webalizer are some of the web traffic analytic tools that are available today. Just keep reading on to know the how these tools help you find the best and worst pages of your website
First things first, the data about the mostly viewed pages are the most important and easy to understand information provided by these web traffic analytic softwares. Handy web static analysis tools like ‘conversion stats’ helps you to track web traffic by country, state and city.
By analyzing the data about the most viewed web-pages, you will be able to identify areas on your website that needs to be improved. For example, you can spotlight on the improvement of the design of the pages. This will enable you to know the source of the traffic to your website. With these data, you will come to know about the visitor’s interest and hence it is an opportunity to improve your website.
Second important data reported by these stats programs is the number of unique visitors to your website. If a web-traffic statistic tool reports, (say) less than 25 brief page visits, it indicates that there is an underlying problem in that page. However, figuring out the problem in the particular page is a challenge. The problem might be improper usage of keywords or perhaps it is because the graphics are confusing or intimidating, causing visitors to exit rapidly. Whatever it may be, these web traffic analytic tools helps you find the ineffective page so that you can figure out what the problem is and make necessary changes. Once the changes are done, the traffic to the particular page will eventually increase.
Conversion tracking systems like conversion stats presents the data on monthly, weekly and daily basis according to your liking. Moreover, the very simple interface of these conversion tracking softwares makes these programs easy to use even for the no-vice users. ‘Conversion stats’ is an excellent example for web-analytic software with simple interface.
